PTA
At St Andrew's, our Parent, Teachers, and Friends Association (PTFA) plays a vital role in enriching the school experience for every child. We value the strong partnership between parents, staff, and the community. The PTFA embodies our school’s vision of by bringing people together in support of our children’s learning and well-being.
What is the PTFA?
The PTFA is a friendly, dedicated group of parents, teachers, and friends who work collaboratively to raise funds that directly benefit our school community. The main aim of the PTFA is to raise and disperse funds to enhance school life and provide additional opportunities for your children.
We organise a variety of events throughout the school year — from small gatherings to larger celebrations — all designed to bring our school family closer and support educational and extracurricular activities. While the committee members take the lead in planning and running these events, we warmly welcome any input or help from parents whenever you can spare the time.
How Does the PTFA Support Our School?
The funds raised by the PTFA are carefully invested back into the school to benefit all pupils. Some of the key areas supported include:
- Subsidising school trips to enrich learning beyond the classroom and create memorable experiences.
- Funding special events within school that inspire and engage children.
- Purchasing new play equipment to promote active, healthy playtimes.
- Providing thoughtful leavers’ gifts to celebrate milestones.
- Supporting a range of exciting resources that enhance teaching and learning.
By contributing to these areas, the PTFA helps create a safe, happy, and inspiring environment where every child can flourish.
Get Involved and Make a Difference
Joining the PTFA is a wonderful way to connect with other parents and staff while actively contributing to your child’s school life. Whether you can offer time at events, ideas, or simply support by attending, every contribution helps us live out our school’s vision of loving and serving one another.
“Love one another, as I have loved you.” (John 13:34) reminds us that through kindness and cooperation, we build a stronger community for our children.
